Malac joined the GEF Independent Evaluation Office in February 2012. As a Research Assistant, her work focuses on a variety of tasks that include research, communications and co-moderating Climate-Eval, the online community of practice on climate change evaluation and development. Malac also works on the annual gender performance reporting scorecard for the United Nations System-Wide Action Plan (UN SWAP) on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment.
She completed her Masters of Science in Peace Operations in the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University in 2016. Malac completed her Bachelors of Art in Global Affairs (concentration on international development and global governance) in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences from George Mason University in 2011.She also holds a certificate from the International Program on Development Evaluation Training (IPDET) at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
