The Country Engagement Strategy Evaluation assesses the CES’s evolution from the previous Country Support Program (CSP), its implementation progress, and early outcomes. The CES was introduced in GEF-8 to enhance the capacity of recipient countries to make informed and impactful decisions regarding GEF resources. The evaluation spans from October 2022 to January 2025 and covers all GEF regions, with special attention to Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
