Silke Heuser

Chemicals and Waste Evaluations
Silke Heuser is an Evaluation Officer at the GEF IEO. She has conducted project-level, thematic, and country evaluations in the areas of environment and climate change in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America.
Before coming to IEO, she served as Advisor to the World Bank's German Executive Director from 2019 to 2023.
Previously, she consulted for the World Bank's climate change department and Independent Evaluation Group. Silke also worked as Senior Project Manager at the KfW Development Bank, where she conducted evaluations on environmental initiatives.
Silke holds degrees from the Free University of Berlin and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, as well as a Ph.D. in governance and policy analysis from Maastricht University, where her doctoral thesis examined policies to reduce deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon.
