The 31st Conference of the Parties (COP 31) will take place in Antalya, Türkiye, from November 9-20, 2026, along with meetings of parties to the Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement, and sessions of subsidiary bodies on scientific advice and implementation.
Türkiye will host COP 31 under a shared presidency arrangement with Australia, with Australia leading negotiations. A preparatory meeting is planned in the Pacific region.
Building on outcomes from COP 30, COP 31 is expected to focus on advancing implementation and finance to meet long-term climate goals. Key agenda items are anticipated to include:
- Climate finance beyond 2020, including scale, access, and delivery
- Review of UNFCCC financial mechanisms
- Assessment of collective progress toward long-term climate goals
- Follow-up on fossil fuel transition and deforestation roadmaps initiated under Brazil’s COP 30 presidency
- Mountain ecosystems and climate resilience
