Are you ready to better align your evaluations with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
This one-hour interactive session by the Independent Evaluation Office of the Global Environment Facility (GEF IEO) and EvalforEarth focused on:
- Why the environment should be part of every development evaluation
- What makes evaluating the environment different from other subjects of evaluation
- Why evaluating the environment requires an expanded toolbox
It also offered an exclusive orientation on the GEF IEO Online Course “Introduction to Environmental Evaluation Approaches and Tools” and its features.
Speaker: Jeneen R. Garcia: Senior Evaluation Officer at the GEF IEO, where she has led evaluations that span diverse environmental focal areas and cross-cutting themes for over 10 years. She is dedicated to piloting innovative methodologies that bridge qualitative and quantitative approaches, while integrating natural sciences, social sciences, and communication design within the evaluation field. Among Jeneen’s contributions are the development of conceptual frameworks and tools for evaluating impact within complex adaptive systems. She also led the development of the GEF IEO’s first online training course on approaches and tools for environmental evaluation. Jeneen’s academic training is in environmental science and management; prior to the GEF IEO she was with an environmental law NGO working directly with local communities.
