This evaluation assesses the effectiveness of the GEF partnership's efforts and preparedness to leverage technological innovations for environmental benefits. It examines key technological innovations supported across the GEF portfolio in GEF-6, GEF-7, and GEF-8, and identifies enablers and barriers that influence the GEF’s ability to effectively support such innovations. Using a combination of portfolio review, technology-focused case studies, and institutional analysis, the evaluation will offer insights into how the GEF can better harness technological innovations while managing associated risks.
