The GEF IEO will facilitate a course on Evaluating at the Nexus of Development and Environment: Challenges and Opporunities for the Shanghai International Program Development Evaluation Training (SHIPDET). SHIPDET is hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Independent Evaluation and the Asia-Pacific Fianance and Development Institute (AFDI). The two-day workshop will aim for participants to (1) identify specific challenges in evaluating environmental programs (in social-ecological systems) and (2) identify approaches and tools that can be used to address these challenges as well as create opportunities for going beyond the usual criteria.
