Asian Evaluation Week (AEW) 2018

The 2018 Asian Evaluation Week, hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Independent Evaluation, was held from September 10-14 in Chengu, People's Republic of China.The theme of the 2018 AEW is "Making Evaluation Work at the Country Level" which recognizes that evaluation is increasingly regarded by countries as critical for public policy both from accountability and learning perspectives.

The 54th GEF Council Meeting was held from Sunday, June 24 to Tuesday, June 26, 2018. The GEF Independent Evaluation Office presented the Semi-Annual Evaluation Report (SAER) which includes ongoing work and information on three recently completed reports such as: Ecological Forecasting Using Geospatial Analysis: Example from Kenya; Annual Performance Report 2017; and Management Action Record 2017. In addition, the 24th LDCF/SCCF Council Meeting was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) 2018

Juha Uitto, Director of the GEF Independent Evaluation Office, was a keynote plenary speaker for the 2018 Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) Conference. Uitto also participated in a panel discussion named "How do I do Sustainability-Ready Evaluation?" on May 27, 2017. The annual conference had a theme of co-creation which encourages engaing people to create mutually valued outcomes together, collaborating towards a common goal.

Results Measurement and Evidence Stream (RMES) Together 2018

The Results Measurement and Evidence Stream (RMES) held its annual meeting at World Bank HQ. The event theme was Results at the center: Rethinking how we manage for results. The objectives were to motivate WBG management and operation staff to focus on reuslts at the onset and throughout WBG operations, not only at the end; raise awareness of ongoing initiatives related to results management across WBG; and enhance WBG staff's knowledge and technical skills in results management.
